
Stevie graduated in law and spent four years in marketing, and two years launching breakfast television before starting a 16-year career in advertising agency management. During that time she worked nationally and internationally at various agencies including Grey and Young & Rubicam.
From 2000 to 2006, she was UK Chief Executive of Clear Channel, the world's largest out of home media company. The UK business doubled in size under her leadership - employing 800 people and operating nearly 100,000 advertising panels.
In June 2006 she joined Future plc to become one of the very few women to run a fully listed public company.
Future produces 150 consumer magazines, websites and events. The largest global publisher of video-gaming, film, guitar and cycling magazines, Future has 130 international editions published under licence in 30 countries including Total Film, T3, Fast Car and Classic Rock. The company employs 1500 people in London, Bath, New York, San Francisco and Sydney.
Stevie also chairs the CLG sponsored Groundwork Federation which incorporates 50 trusts in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and is the UK's largest organisation delivering community regeneration projects. She is a Trustee of Arts & Business, one of the Prince's Trusts. Funded by the Arts Council, it is the leading global organisation for developing partnerships between the worlds of commerce and the arts.
She is a Fellow of both the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising and of the Marketing Society, a Companion of the Chartered Institute of Management and on the Management Board of the Periodical Publishers Association.
