
Richard is Head of Mobile Advertising for Vodafone Group. His role covers the overall strategy and development of mobile advertising and marketing across Vodafone markets working in close liaison with all the operating companies.
Richard has considerable experience at Vodafone including leading the commercial launch of 3G across the Enterprise and Consumer segments for Vodafone UK, product development and innovation – proposition head for Vodafone Live - and strategic planning for the UK Board. Before joining Vodafone, Richard had 11 years in consulting including 5 years with Ernst & Young Global Consulting where he specialised in the telecoms and FMCG sector.
Richard is also Chair of the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) for the Europe Middle East & Africa region. The MMA is an action orientated non-profit organisation designed to facilitate the growth for mobile marketing, establish guidelines and best practices, educate and evangelise on the use of the mobile channel. Richard sets and guides the priorities of the EMEA MMA, working closely with his fellow board members and the global MMA team.
Richard has a Masters degree in industrial management and a BSC in Ecosystems Science from Lancaster University.
