As member of the board of the United Internet Media AG, a company of the United Internet Group, Matthias Ehrlich is responsible for the media marketing of the captive portals of the United Internet AG – WEB.DE, GMX, 1&1 and SmartShopping – as well as the international advertising networks AD Europe and AD Europe
Global.
Previous to his change into the board of the newly founded United Internet Media AG in the course of the strategic alliance of WEB.DE and United Internet, Ehrlich worked several years at the WEB.DE AG, firstly as member of the board of the WEB.DE subsidiary more.de AG, then as CSO Media Sales WEB.DE AG. Matthias Ehrlich joined the Internet pioneer WEB.DE after perennial practice in consultancy and financial business for digital media in Germany, Spain and USA.
Before, he was as a graduate industrial engineer in numerous leading positions in the range of sales and marketing in different high-tech and Internet companies, amongst others: with the graphic media pioneer Silicon Graphics and as member of the board of the SPEA Software AG established as European market leader concerning graphic-add-ons for personal computers.
Matthias Ehrlich has been Vice President of the German Association of Digital Economy (Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft, BVDW) since May 2007.
