The Venice Festival of Media will close with a Gala Dinner night on Tuesday 17 April, sponsored by Yahoo!. The Gala Dinner will celebrate the first Venice Festival of Media, the Cream of Venice Selection and The Yahoo! Idea of the Festival Award.
The Venice Festival of Media strikes us as the perfect opportunity to recognise the best of the case studies featured in Cream during 2006. The Cream of Venice editorial meeting took place on March 8th where the Panel identified the best case studies within each of the Fields, designed to acknowledge the differing objectives and resources for creative media strategies. These chosen case studies, in the opinion of the Panel, demonstrate and represent a 'best case' creative and innovative use of media. Mainardo de Nardis, CEO of Aegis Media, Global, sat on the Editorial Board. The Cream of Venice selection finalists will be showcased in a Show Reel, which will be screened as part of the Gala Dinner celebrations which will close the Venice Festival of Media on Tuesday 17 April.

This Award will also be presented on the night of the Gala Dinner, and will be chosen as the “best of the best" of the Cream selection by our Editorial Panel.
