Dana Dunne, CEO, AOL Europe

Dana Dunne

Dana Dunne was appointed CEO of AOL Europe in February 2007.

AOL is a global Web services company that operates some of the most popular Web destinations, offers a comprehensive suite of free software and services and provides a full set of advertising solutions.  A majority-owned subsidiary of Time Warner Inc., AOL LLC is based in Dulles, Virginia.  AOL and its subsidiaries also have operations in Europe, Canada and Asia.

Before joining AOL, Dunne was Chairman and acting CEO of WebTV Europe.  Prior to that, he was President of the wholesale business unit at Belgacom S.A, the Belgium telecommunications company.  Previously, Dunne was head of Belgacom's Retail Business Division.

Between 1997 and 1999, he worked for one of the leading telecommunications companies in the US, US West as Vice President of Strategy Development and President of US West International.  Dunne has also worked at McKinsey & Company as one of the leaders of McKinsey's Telecommunications and Multimedia practices.

Throughout his career, Dunne has worked in more than 20 countries.  He is married with two children and lives in London.
