Andrew has had a varied carrier which as seen moves across various marketing areas and countries. He started as a journalist, moved to advertising sales and started in media agencies as a television buyer in the 80's. He moved to Dublin to open and run a office for DMB&B before returning to the UK as a planner and group director on accounts like Burger King and 20th Century Fox and Procter & Gamble.
By the early 1990's he had grown disillusioned with advertising agencies and was approached by The Walt Disney Company to manage their media investment in Europe. At various times during his 5 years at Disney he worked in Paris, Tokyo, LA and London and was involved in projects as diverse as The Lion King and Armageddon and oversaw their media consolidation arrangements.
In 1999 he was asked by Young and Rubicam to join their then fledgling media operation The Media Edge in New York. A year later he oversaw its separation following the acquisition by WPP and was a key player in The Media Edge's merger with CIA which has become Mediaedge:cia.
As President, Chief Client Officer, his current role is responsibility for all Mediaedge:cia's global clients whose collective annual spend is in excess of $10b. These clients include Accenture, ABB, Citibank, Chevron, Xerox, AT&T, Sony Ericsson, Chanel, Colgate, UIP and Jaguar. Specifically he provides leadership for the international and domestic media directors working on these clients and ensures the most effective use of the network and media in pursuance of clients' international and local media strategies. In addition to this he is charged with developing communications solutions to meet client's needs and lead the company in the areas of client service and solutions. Most recently he led the successful pitches of Energizer & Macy*s.
Andrew is also the President of the International Advertising Association in New York.
