Janet Fitzpatrick, Chief Strategic Officer, Initiative Worldwide
Janet became Chief Strategy Officer, Initiative Worldwide, in June 2006 after a marketing career spanning a number of organizations, roles and countries.
After starting in the UK, initially in ad. sales, Janet joined Saatchi & Saatchi in the newly minted role of communications planner. After a couple of years in London, she moved to Lintas, Hong Kong, as Media Director Greater China. During the next ten years Janet worked across the region, joining Ogilvy in '94, before relocating to Tokyo to establish an Ogilvy media capability and subsequently launch MindShare Japan, where she became CEO.
Moving to Motorola Inc. Chicago, in 2000, first as Global Media Director for the cellular phone division and subsequently as VP & Director WW Marketing and Media, Janet collaborated closely with CMO Geoffrey Frost in the revitalization of the Motorola. During the next five years, Janet was recognized for her achievements in driving 'diversified marketing' programs, including a $60m+ three year marketing partnership with MTV. In 2004 Janet founded her own consultancy with a focus on developing communication channel planning practices. Featured in 'Adage' as one of the 'Top 25 Women In Marketing to Watch', Janet is a progressive marketing professional with a strong track record in building brands and organizations to manage and maximize marketing investment returns, and improve sales and profits.
