Prior to his move into media, Alfonso spent over 15 years in banking. He has been part of the Havas Media team for over 10 years, and appointed Chief Corporate Development Officer of MPG, the global media network of Havas Media, in 1996. At that stage MPG was operational in Spain, Portugal and Mexico. In 2001 he also became Chief Executive Officer of MPG for Spain and Southern Europe, as well as Chairman of Havas Sports. In 2006 he became Chief Executive Officer of Havas Media.
Havas Media and its specialist networks now operate in over 100 countries worldwide with over 4,000 employees. Havas Media includes: MPG (global media network), Arena (network for tailor-made communications), Media Contacts (global interactive network), Havas Sports (360° sports communication network) and B6 Integrated Entertainment (branded entertainment network).
